Role Overview
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Rural Property Estate Agent to join our specialist team in the North of England. This is an exciting opportunity to help grow our department, which focuses on the sale and acquisition of agricultural properties, including commercial farms, estates, land, and rural homes, while supporting our extensive office and service network.
The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in developing client relationships, connecting buyers with their ideal properties, and ensuring seamless transactions throughout the process. As an integral member of the team, you will provide expert advice on market trends, property valuations, and offer guidance on tax and legal considerations, delivering a professional and trusted service to our clients.
Team Overview
This is an opportunity to work alongside our team of experienced and knowledgeable professionals while being supported by the wider GSC Grays network. The role will cover the whole of our Northern Region working alongside counterparts over nine offices. The successful candidate will have the choice of being based from one of four offices: Alnwick, Chester-le-Street, Driffield, or Kirkby Lonsdale, and report to the Director and Head of Farm and Country House Agency.
Key Responsibilities
1. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their specific needs.
2. Conduct market analysis to determine trends in agricultural property values to provide professional advice to farmers, landowners, and investors regarding property market movements and opportunities.
3. Manage market appraisals to determine fair prices prior to the sale, purchase, and leasing of farms, estates, and rural properties.
4. Collect administrative and legal documentation in support of property inquiries and manage the data in support of all sales. Liaise with solicitors, surveyors, and other professionals involved in property transactions.
5. Identify opportunities to grow and expand the business.
A desire to achieve client-focused results while building relationships and networking effectively.
Proficiency in financial analysis and property valuation with strong sales negotiation and communication skills.
Self-motivated, goal-driven with the ability to prioritize, work under pressure, meet deadlines, deal with conflict, and provide resolution.
High level of organization and attention to detail with enthusiasm to be part of a growing business providing significant career progression opportunities.
A full, clean driving license with access to a car and willingness to travel across the North of England to meet the requirements of the role.
Qualifications:
A degree/diploma in rural land management, agriculture, estate management, or a related field (preferred but not mandatory).
RICS (Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors) accreditation or willingness to work towards it.
CAAV (Central Association of Agricultural Valuers) membership or willingness to work towards it.
