A vacancy has arisen for a MUlti Trade Craftsperson at Wirral University Teaching Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. Working for the Operations and Maintenance Division, as part of a multi discipline team providing reactive and planned preventative maintenance to Arrowe Park and Clatterbridge Hospitals.
·To observe current health & safety and hospital guidelines in maintaining own and other health, safety and security including infection control. Completing risk assessments for all work-related activities.
· Use and be competent in the uses of all relevant hand and power tools & equipment.
·The post holder must have the ability to plan their own workload being able to complete work, issued by supervisors.
·Ensure a safe working environment. Protecting all employees, staff and members of the public at all times.
· To carry out planned and reactive maintenance on various equipment. Being able to deal with competing work priorities. Recording the results and outcomes of inspections, tests, and repairs. This type of work may also include attending and assisting in emergency situations. Example in the event of a Fire evacuation or flood.
· Undertake types of work which may previously have been carried out by other trade groups examples include ceiling tile replacement, replacement of WC seats, replacement of filters, grille cleaning, replacement/re-fixing of fixtures & fittings, routine checks (meter readings), painting, ceramic tiling, replace floor / carpet tiling, emergency clear ups.
· Assistance to contractors by giving guidance as to the location of a problem.
·Effectively communicate with supervisors and other department’s managers and staff.
