We’re looking for Finance Managers (Qualified Accountant with European languages) to join us in Bradford. This is hybrid working; 2 days in the office, 3 days remote. Please note: These roles are specifically for those with additional European languages (predominantly French but also German and Dutch). Other Finance Manager roles are available without this requirement. As a Finance Manager, you will report to a Senior Manager for Management Accounts or Financial Accounts, supporting and working closely with our teams in Bradford and across the wider business, to deliver accurate reporting and analysis to internal and external stakeholders across the Liberty Global Footprint. What will you be doing? Within Management Accounts, you will be responsible for Financial Control, Group Financial Planning and Analysis, Commercial Finance, External Auditors, and the wider Accounting Operations team, to support timely decision-making and ensure the accuracy of external reporting. Within Financial Accounts, you will be responsible for developing and delivering financial accounting activity, which includes debt, interest, derivatives, and share-based compensation, as well as preparing comprehensive financial reports, ensuring compliance with IFRS and other statutory requirements. Being an expert on processes within your area, you will liaise with the business to understand changes and strategy and take ownership to amend processes for accurate and timely accounting. You will review and present divisional reporting packs for internal stakeholders, meeting required deadlines, and providing ad hoc reporting as needed, whilst improving internal efficiencies and output quality through process enhancements and collaboration with internal and external teams, with a focus on tactical and strategic use of technology for automation and digitization. We tend to look for people with: Proven as a Finance Manager, Management Accountant, Financial Accountant, Audit Manager, or similar. A professional accountancy qualification (ACA; ACCA; CIMA etc.), either newly qualified or with a degree of PQE. Fluency in additional European languages, including French, German or Dutch. Managing key stakeholder relationships and delivering to deadlines. Strong Excel and financial systems skills (e.g. Oracle, Hyperion/HFM). Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. The willingness to occasionally travel overseas to build relationships with colleagues in the various Opcos we support. What’s in it for you?
