This is a great opportunity to join a strong leadership team at a very exciting stage of King Edward VI’s journey. Following a period of significant change within the school we have enjoyed recent success in school improvement which has been recognised by a strong OFSTED report.
We are looking for a strong team player with a passion for high educational standards and commitment to raising achievement. We are looking for someone who can inspire others and bring out the best of every learner and staff member.
As a school we are committed to the success of every child and adult within our community and value collaboration and professional autonomy highly. We want every child and adult to be the very best they can be.
King Edward VI CEVC School is a successful, oversubscribed 11-16 school with 1200 students on roll. We are situated in the historic town of Bury St Edmunds (‘the jewel in the crown of Suffolk’), surrounded by beautiful countryside – just over an hour by train to London, and with good links to the A14.
We are seeking to appoint a person who:
* has an outstanding track record in teaching and school leadership with proven success and demonstrable impact
* is able to think strategically, analytically and creatively about teaching, learning and behaviour, and has the personal authority and communication skills to make a difference to outcomes throughout the school
* is committed to the continuous improvement of people and systems to secure even better engagement and progression.
