As a Senior Finance Business Partner within the Group Finance team, you will play a pivotal role in driving financial performance and supporting the commercial and operational functions across the UI business. You will provide strategic insight and challenge to ensure robust financial planning, analysis, and decision-making, with a focus on optimising sales, margins, and costs.
To succeed in this position, you'll need a strong customer-centric mindset, commercial acumen, and the ability to influence and partner with senior stakeholders. Additionally, the role involves leading financial reporting, forecasting, process improvements, and contributing to strategic business transformation.
Your responsibilities
* Lead and manage the financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes, providing insightful analysis on sales, margins, and costs.
* Provide clear and accurate financial forecasts, identifying risks and opportunities to influence business performance.
* Act as a key finance partner to senior management and business unit leaders, delivering financial insights and constructive challenge to drive performance improvement.
* Support commercial deal evaluations and decision-making processes, ensuring a thorough understanding of financial implications.
* Develop and maintain strong relationships with cross-functional teams and stakeholders across regions and business units.
* Lead monthly closing processes and produce timely, accurate financial reports to communicate business performance.
* Analyse key financial metrics and provide value-added analysis to support decision-making.
* Offer a constructive challenge to commercial and operational teams to drive optimal financial outcomes.
* Lead initiatives to improve financial processes, systems, and controls, ensuring efficient and timely financial reporting.
* Drive continuous improvement within the finance function, identifying and implementing process enhancements that deliver value.
* Support strategic business transformation projects, providing financial expertise and ensuring alignment with corporate goals.
* Lead and mentor a diverse team of finance professionals, fostering a collaborative, high-performance, and inclusive culture.
* Provide coaching and development opportunities to enhance team capabilities.
* Work closely with other Finance teams to ensure consistency in financial reporting and alignment with financial objectives.
* Promote best practices and share knowledge to foster a collaborative, high-performing finance community.
Minimum Requirements
* University degree in a Finance or Business related field – preferable not essential.
* Professional Chartered Finance qualification – CIMA/ACCA/ACA.
* A minimum of 3-5 years’ experience within a similar position.
* Highly self-motivated with strong leadership skills in a fast-paced environment.
* Strong business acumen, focusing on delivering customer solutions and performance value.
* Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
* Ability to constructively challenge and influence decisions to drive financial performance.
* A collaborative team player who thrives in a cross-functional, regional environment.
* Advanced proficiency in financial systems and tools such as SAP, HFM, and Microsoft Office.
