An exciting opportunity has arisen to work with the Urology Clinical Nurse specialist team, hosted by Oldham Care Organisation.
We have a vacancy for a highly motivated Urology Clinical Nurse Specialist - Band 6-7 dependent on experience.
As a valued member of our team, you will have a strong interest and passion to work with Urology cancer patients and will work with the wider members of the multidisciplinary team to deliver a high standard of care.
This is a developmental role that will demonstrate a clear career pathway on completion of service objectives knowledge and skills. The successful candidate will be supported in the role by the Directorate triumvirate, the Urology Lead Nurse, and the Urology MacMillan Lead Nurse Specialist.
You will work as a Key worker for Urology patients across the North East Sector of the Northern Care Alliance who have been diagnosed with a Urological cancer and run independent Nurse-led clinics for the management of patients with a diagnosed Urological cancer to ensure all their needs are met.
Main duties of the job
You will be a Registered General Nurse and have a degree in a related subject.
The successful candidate will have relevant post-registration experience at Band 5 or above either in Urology or Cancer services.
You will have excellent communication skills and have the ability to manage your own workload, as well as showing exceptional leadership skills, team working and management experience. You will also be able to identify areas of development, both personally and within the department, and work towards addressing these.
The role will be based at Royal Oldham hospital, but you will be expected to work in clinics across Fairfield, Rochdale, and North Manchester.

This vacancy is open to those who have a current NMC PIN to practice as a Registered Nurse in the UK, or those who are currently enrolled on a course which means they expect to receive their full NMC PIN within the next 3 months. Please note an NMC PRN PIN is not a full NMC PIN and would not fulfil the essential criteria for this role.
