We have a new opportunity to be part of the Aston Martin Performance Technologies team in the role of Quality Assurance Engineer. Reporting to the Head of Supply Chain, you will play a critical role in ensuring the successful delivery of non-F1 projects, achieving targets for cost, timing, specification, and quality. This role has a broad quality remit across suppliers, internal processes, standards, and customer satisfaction, ensuring AMPT products and services consistently meet specifications and expectations. You will be responsible for: Liaising with AMPT customers to understand product and process requirements and cascading these across internal teams and the supply chain. Ensuring all quality and business processes are met and taking corrective actions where necessary. Selecting, auditing, and developing suppliers in line with industry and AMPT standards (e.g., ISO 9001, IATF 16949). Validating that supplied components meet technical, regulatory, and quality standards using tools such as PPAP and APQP. Leading problem-solving efforts on supplier issues using 8D, root cause analysis, and CAPA. Tracking and analysing supplier quality metrics and leading initiatives to drive continuous improvement. Collaborating with suppliers during development phases to ensure robust production processes, including FAI and process capability studies. Anticipating and proactively managing quality issues to effective resolution. Supporting the development of AMPT’s tools, methods, people, and culture, as well as contributing to its intellectual property. Maintaining and developing skill levels and up-to-date knowledge of industry standards, inspection techniques, and problem-solving tools. Carrying out any additional duties aligned to the role as reasonably required. What you will need to be successful in this role : Educated to degree level in engineering, quality management or a related field. Previous experience in supplier quality assurance within high-tech engineering or advanced manufacturing. Ability to turn ideas into feasible, high-quality solutions. Strong organisational and time management skills. Excellent verbal and written communication, with a collaborative and respectful approach. Calm and confident under pressure, capable of delivering results to tight deadlines. Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills. Results-driven with sound decision-making capability. This is a full-time office-based role based at our campus in Silverstone, with additional requirement to travel to other locations where necessary.
