We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced SHEQ Advisor to join a busy, growing organisation in the telecoms industry. As a SHEQ Advisor, you will be responsible for ensuring that all health, safety, environmental, and quality standards are adhered to within the company. The projects are all within the M25, so the opportunity is ideal for someone suitably experienced and living in London or the Home Counties. Responsibilities: - Implement and maintain an effective Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality (SHEQ) management system within the organisation. - Conduct regular audits and inspections to identify potential hazards or non-compliance issues. - Provide guidance and support to employees regarding health and safety practices. - Develop safety policies, procedures, risk assessments, method statements, and safe systems of work. - Investigate accidents/incidents promptly to determine root causes and recommend corrective actions. - Coordinate with project teams to ensure compliance with legal requirements as well as client-specific standards. - Assist in developing training programs on various safety topics for employees at all levels. - Keep up-to-date with relevant legislation changes related to health, safety, environment, or quality. Skills: - Proven experience as a SHEQ Advisor in either the telecoms or utilities (HV / power, gas or water) industries is essential. - Strong knowledge of health & safety regulations specific to telecommunications infrastructure projects. - Excellent communication skills both verbal and written. - Ability to influence others positively towards achieving high standards of SHEQ performance. Qualifications: -The ideal candidate should possess at least a Bachelor's degree in Health & Safety Management or any related field. -A NEBOSH Certificate is required - EUSR and NRSWA tickets would be advantageous.
