Job Description
Wye School is part of United Learning, a group of schools aiming to offer a life-changing education to children and young people across England. Schools within United Learning work as a team and achieve more by sharing than any single school could. With a shared curriculum and lesson plans from around the group available to all, our teachers have strong foundations to lead the engaging, rounded education our children deserve. The shared curriculum includes assessment support which allows for across group moderation.
Wye School opened in September 2013 with a single intake of Year 7 students who delivered our excellent first GCSE results in August 2018, followed by strong GCSE and then A Level results in following years. We are a mixed comprehensive school. Ofsted praised our, ‘very vibrant and strong leadership... clear and aspirational vision,’ and, ‘high level of ambition for the students and the school.’ We are over-subscribed and are only interested in appointing teachers who aim to challenge and fully support outstanding progress for every student.
We are now looking to add to our close-knit team of dedicated and dynamic teaching staff. We want to appoint a Teacher of Science who is capable of teaching to GCSE, with A Level Chemistry a welcome bonus, but any specialism and general scientists are also welcome.
We welcome applications from candidates with varying degrees of experience, including ECTs. We have a strong ECT induction programme and offer extensive training opportunities to more experienced candidates through United Learning.
Applications will be considered on receipt. Suitable candidates will be interviewed on receipt of application and Wye School reserves the right to withdraw the position if an early appointment is made.
