It’s an exciting time to work in Environmental and Operational Services, as we are at the forefront of change. As one of the most visible and high profile services the Council provides, we’d love you to join us as we deliver major changes to help our residents to further reduce their waste, drive up recycling, improve cleanliness standards and reduce our carbon footprint. Working in the community across Stratford-on-Avon District to make a real difference to our neighbourhoods, you will use your excellent people and communication skills to build relationships and develop partnerships with various local stakeholders and contractors to deliver services for us. You will use your positive, can-do attitude to make things happen and ensure that the communities across the District are benefitting from high quality services that we are responsible for. Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities (Please see Job Description and Person Specification for more details): Lead on monitoring the delivery of the Council’s contracted waste collection, street cleansing and grounds maintenance services. Patrol and enforce the Council’s public open spaces and car parks. Support the Environmental and Operational Services Team Leaders to ensure that the Council’s contractors deliver excellent, customer-focused, value for money services, which best meet the needs of the public and enhance public satisfaction. You may be a new graduate, or experienced in waste, recycling and street cleansing services. Whatever your background, you’ll be interested in the environment and making a positive difference. Effective communicator with the ability to engage with audiences at all levels. Excellent Customer Service skills, including handling and resolving customer enquiries and complaints. Strong People skills, with the ability to build excellent relationships and partnerships with key stakeholders and contractors at all levels. Driven, with a positive approach to problem solving and innovation, with the ability to make things happen.
