Main duties of the job
Ward 52 - We provide high quality care for 38 patients requiring elective and emergency care. Fourteen of our beds provide an enhanced level of care for frailty patients in particular those who have suffered a fractured neck of femur injury. We are actively taking part in trust initiatives including ward accreditation and pathway to excellence.
Ward 53 - Ward 53 is seeking enthusiastic and self-motivated Staff Nurse to join our friendly and dynamic Team in Trauma and Orthopaedic Department. The workload throughout the department is varied and interesting with no two days being the same. Our Ward is a 39 bedded ortopaedic and trauma unit, which cares for patients post-operative with special interest of ortho-plastics.
You will be part of a multidisciplinary team providing professional and clinical support to our patients. You will also receive necessary training for skill and career development.

Ward 53 ECU - On our Major Trauma Enhanced Care Unit (MT ECU). If successful, you will be providing care for level 1 patients with multi-system injuries sustained through trauma.
This is a 7 bedded unit where we care for patients from other hospitals, critical care, and the emergency department.
