Role Overview
They are looking for an experienced CNC Machinist to join their team. In this role, you will be responsible for programming, setting up, and operating CNC machines to manufacture precision components. You will work closely with the engineering and production teams to ensure the highest standards of quality and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
* Program, set up, and operate CNC milling and turning machines to produce precision-engineered components.
* Read and interpret technical drawings, CAD models, and blueprints.
* Conduct routine maintenance and troubleshoot machine issues.
* Inspect finished components to ensure they meet strict quality and tolerance requirements.
* Monitor and optimize machining processes to enhance efficiency.
* Collaborate with team members to improve workflow and achieve production targets.
* Maintain a clean and safe working environment in accordance with company policies.
Skills & Experience Required
* Demonstrated experience as a CNC Machinist, ideally in a precision engineering setting.
* Proficiency with CNC control systems such as Fanuc, Heidenhain, or similar.
* Strong ability to interpret engineering drawings and work to tight tolerances.
* In-depth knowledge of machining tools, materials, and principles.
* Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications
* NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
* An apprenticeship in CNC machining is beneficial but not essential.
