This role manages individualized, outcome-oriented nursing care through the use of the nursing process. Responsibilities include:
1. Providing care, treatment, and services through assessment, planning, and coordination.
2. Facilitating the delivery of cost-effective quality healthcare.
3. Communicating effectively with physicians, care managers, healthcare teams, patients, and caregivers.
4. Participating in quality improvement efforts and research related to patient care.
