What the Job Involves As a Catering Assistant, you will play an essential role in a catering team located at a special school, preparing and delivering healthy, freshly made school meals. You will be responsible for assisting in meal preparation, cooking, service clearing, and cleaning of the kitchen and equipment while maintaining hygiene and safety standards. Your duties include providing written documentation concerning Health & Safety and Food Safety Legislation to meet business requirements. This position demands working in a fast-paced environment, offering quality services within specified timeframes. The role involves frequent lifting, moving, and handling of large equipment, along with consistent communication in English with the public. You will work 20 hours per week, Monday to Friday, term-time only, at St Anthony’s School, Chichester, with additional duties during specified periods.
