Laundry Attendant
Experiencing warm and engaging service in luxurious surroundings is turning moments into memories for our guests at the Fairmont Waterfront. As a Laundry Attendant, your care and attention to detail in your Laundry operation will ensure exceptional standards for our hotel lines - you will take pride in the role you play facilitating a memorable guest stay.
What you will be doing:
* Reporting to the Director of Housekeeping, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:
* Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service
* Carry out various functions within the Laundry department
* Sort soiled linen, label and make ready for pick-up
* Operate towel folders as required
* Set aside and report any damaged or marked linen
* Load and unload washing machines and dryers as required
* Follow departmental policies, procedures and service standards
* Report necessary maintenance items
* Follow all safety and sanitation policies
* Other duties as assigned
Minimum Requirements:
* Previous experience in housekeeping an asset
* Must be available to work evenings, nights and weekends
* Excellent communication and organizational skills
* Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities
* Highly responsible & reliable
* Ability to work cohesively with fellow colleagues as part of a team
* Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
* Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times
Visa Requirements: Must be legally eligible to work in Canada. The hotel is unable to assist candidates in obtaining Canadian work authorization.
