Job Advert: Teaching Assistant (Special Educational Needs)
Location: Grays/South Ockendon
Salary: £425/week+
We are looking for a compassionate, patient, and dedicated individual to join our team as a Teaching Assistant to support children with Special Educational Needs (SEN). If you are someone who enjoys making a positive difference in children's lives and has a caring attitude, we want to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities:
Support children with SEN on a 1:1 or group basis.
Assist with the implementation of Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCPs).
Create a nurturing and inclusive learning environment.
Provide emotional and behavioural support as required.
Help with classroom activities, ensuring the children's well-being and development.
Foster positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
What We’re Looking For:
A genuine passion for working with children and a caring attitude.
Patience and the ability to work calmly under pressure.
Experience working with children in any capacity (e.g., school, childcare, volunteering).
Minimum of a Grade C in GCSE English and Maths (or equivalent).
A Child-Only DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one).
Experience in a role with transferrable skills will also be considered.
Desirable Skills:
Knowledge of Special Educational Needs.
Experience in supporting children with behavioural or emotional challenges.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
