Position Summary: Both coded 135 MAG semi-automatic welding to BS EN 287 standards and MIG welding Aluminium, stainless steel and steel welding on a variety of materials 2mm to 25mm, including corrosion work on train body panels Use of hand tools, buffing and grinding panels in preparation for welding Individual specification welds - brackets, structural beam work, joints and sole bars Infrastructure design and build on specific projects CSWIP - Welding inspection Person Profile: Welding experience ideally on commercial vehicles (HGV/Bus/Aviation/Rolling Stock) Ideally have an NVQ level 3 within engineering/welding PLEASE NOTE ALL APPLICANTS MUST BE ABLE TO PASS AN DRUGS AND ALCOHOL TEST BEFORE BEING OFFERED A POSITION (this is standard procedure on Rail depots) Please note due to the volume of applications, we can only commit to contact those candidates we deem suitable for the position.
