The Role As an Engineering Manager you will have overarching accountability of a Sprint based agile delivery team to drive delivery excellence. The Engineering Manager should have previous experience with Cloud platforms and understand what a high-quality application delivery looks like. In this role you will guide, coach and mentor a team towards what a good end state delivery should be. Should have good understanding of engineering principles, with a passion for technology, the ability to design the delivery governance process, and with compassion towards the team to ensure the governance model is effectively applied, thus improving and ensuring delivery quality. Key responsibilities: Own the end-to-end delivery governance of agile based service and product teams. Set application development standards and procedures and drive the adaption in the team. Define, track and achieve technical KPIs for the development, testing and implementation teams. Define and review quality gates for the delivery team. Oversee execution of Agile ceremonies externally with the customer and internal teams. Represent TCS Delivery in internal, Client-facing and other 3rd party meetings. Produce delivery progress reports to all stakeholders. Face external and internal delivery reviews and audits as required. Your Profile Essential skills/knowledge/experience: Understanding of ITIL Service Management and Software Development Lifecycles, and experience working at different project phases (e.g. Development, Test, Support), and in different project arrangements (e.g. T&M, Fixed Price). Experience in delivering projects in an Agile environment, using Scrum principles. Understanding of best practices in setting coding standards, quality gates and testing methodologies (Unit, Integration, Regression, Performance). Experience in setting of KPIs in measuring success across the delivery team is essential. Ability to facilitate / administer code review sessions across the delivery teams. Compassionate people leading skills. Bringing together disparate and physically remote teams. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, both internally and Client-facing. Experience in working within the Public Sector and with Government members of staff / their suppliers PRINCE2 and/or Scrum certifications Desirable skills/knowledge/experience Support sales and presales teams in responding to bids and RFPs. Knowledge of other cloud platforms like GCP and AWS. Exposure to the Azure platform and related technologies like .net, C#, react js, node js, API and graph database (Neo4j). Understanding of General Security best practices. Exposure to SAFe Agile based value stream delivery is a plus.
