INTRO Fantastic opportunity for an experienced Quality Manager to join an International FMCG Manufacturing company at their Midlands site. The role involves: Managing the quality department & systems within the business, ensuring, that product quality is maximised, and that all quality certifications are maintained. Ensuring that site services meet the needs of employees and the business whilst assisting the business with compliance to standards. Applicants must have Audit experience, ISO9001 and BRC. CANDIDATE PROFILE Strong experience of quality and facilities management within a manufacturing environment (ideally FMCG) Experience of customer communications and third-party auditors Compliance with certified standards and procedures (BRC, ISO 9001, FSC/PEFC) Commercial / cost awareness Strong IT Skills Root cause analysis and problem-solving techniques Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Excellent communication skills essential, ability to give clear written and verbal instructions, clearly understand and explain issues to workforce and customers and have good understanding of procedures and processes. Able to identify areas of weakness within processes and customer specific procedures and help find innovative solutions. Strong leadership skills THE ROLE Responsible for the Quality departments Managing compliance Scheduling, and undertaking third party quality audits, and closure of findings in a timely manner. Scheduling internal audits to verify compliance to legislation and certified standards. First point of contact for site quality matters. Promoting, training, and enforcing good quality practices and hygiene standards. Working with European team to set SMART quality KPI metrics for site. Maintenance of site HACCP and TACCP plans. Organising microbiological and allergen swabbing. Organising calibration of measuring devices. Weekly, monthly, and annual quality reporting, trending and meetings including improvement planning. Managing document control for all site processes and procedures. Managing customer complaints and internal non-conformance investigations with root cause identified, and preventative actions verified. Managing supplier approvals in accordance to Quality and ethical standards, including external auditing as appropriate. Coordinating supplier claims and performance reviews. Carry out first line management duties with teams including recruitment, disciplinary, development reviews and succession plans.
