Job Title: Electrician / Approved Electrician
Base Location: Peterhead Power Station
Salary: £39,319
Working Pattern: Full Time, 37 hours per week
Monday - Thursday: 07:30am - 16:00pm
Friday: 07:30am - 12:30pm

What will I be doing in this role?
As part of our team based at Peterhead Power Station, you'll play a key role in delivering a broad range of electrical services including maintenance, installation, testing, and fault finding. You'll be working in a high-performing environment supporting both planned and reactive works within the power station.
In a typical day, you could expect to be:
Conducting electrical installations, repairs, and maintenance activities across the site
Performing containment, wiring, and electrical inspections, including EICRs
Fault-finding and troubleshooting electrical systems to maintain operational integrity
Ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations at all times
Collaborating with colleagues and contractors to meet project and maintenance objectives
Maintaining accurate records and reporting any discrepancies or safety concerns
Supporting ad-hoc out-of-hours work if required (though not routine)
What do I need to be successful in the role?
We would love you to have:
City & Guilds SVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation
18th Edition Wiring Regulations qualification
ECS/SJIB Gold Card
Experience of electrical testing, including completing EICRs
In-depth understanding of current H&S legislation and site safety requirements
Proven knowledge of electrical systems, standards, and regulations
Strong problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail
Ability to read and interpret electrical plans and specifications
Great communication and interpersonal skills

IPAF & PASMA certification

Please note:This is a temporary position. Successful candidates will be onboarded and employed through our preferred recruitment agency partner. Initial contracts are for three months, with the possibility of extension or a permanent position, subject to business needs and candidate suitability.
