To support the Facilities (Catering/Hotel Services) team in delivering Housekeeping and Catering services to the National Standards for these services in NHS Wales, HIW standard 5 and 9 and Organisational Standards. To assist in developing, maintaining and promoting the highest standards of service delivery and team working practices; and helping to maintain open, effective communication.
Main duties of the job
As a key member of the Catering Team, the Catering Assistant plays a central role in delivering catering services to patients, staff and visitors. The role involves promoting high standards of customer service and care, working in line with relevant policies and practices. The post holder will work either as part of the ward based catering team or as part of the Main Kitchen catering team and will be responsible for food preparation or regeneration, meal service and cleaning of all catering areas. The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
