Your role and responsibilities Your role as a Coroner’s Officer is to investigate sudden and unexpected deaths that are referred to the Coroner's Service. You will need good listening and questioning skills and the ability to plan and organise your workload in this busy position. You will be exposed to upsetting and confidential material and will be working with bereaved families. You will need a sound knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook good understanding of data protection and data sharing legislation the ability to read and understand medical and legal terminology to undergo Police vetting at NPPV level 2.
