Structural Steel Site Manager 763CW Hinkley Point C Nuclear Power Station, Somerset £65-75k accommodation travel Long-term role Overview: The Site Manager will be accountable for the management of all construction activities on the assigned project. Ensure successful delivery in terms of full contractual compliance, Client satisfaction, and optimal efficiency, adopting industry leading standards of quality and achieving no reportable HS&E events. Regularly review site planning and performance with the Construction Manager and continually search for and implement improvements to optimise project outcomes. Provide effective reporting to Management on progress, key risks and issues affecting construction of the project. Main Duties & Responsibilities: - Prepare for successful delivery of the assigned project – identify site requirements for all labour, plant, equipment and materials. Undertake comprehensive construction planning, studying contract documentation and reviewing site conditions in detail to determine optimal construction methods and lifting arrangements. - Plan, monitor and manage execution of construction activities to ensure safe, on time, in budget, high quality works to completion - Review and monitor timely reporting of construction progress and maintain detailed records - Drive and manager internal and external relationships for effective and efficient achievement of project goals - Provide leadership, ongoing guidance and support to motivate the Site Team - Take the lead in providing the safest possible workplace - Diligently manage regulatory compliance - Minimise company risk and exposure at all times - Create industry networks and generate opportunities Required Experience : - Sound level of experience in a progressive construction environment, leading and managing site teams - Have experience of Structural Steel activities and heavy construction e.g. Nuclear, offshore, petrochemical - Responsible and thorough application of site standards especially in relation to safety, health & environmental requirements including the compliance to RAMS and quality management systems
