Community Psychiatric Nurse (Band 6) – Perinatal Team – Peterborough\n Service Care Solutions | NHS | Temporary Agency Contract | £27.00 Ltd Umbrella per hour\n\n Service Care Solutions are currently recruiting for a Band 6 Community Psychiatric Nurse (CPN) to join the Perinatal Mental Health Team within the NHS in Peterborough. This is a full-time, temporary agency contract, working Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm.\n\n Key Details:\n\nPay Rate: £27.00 Ltd (Umbrella) per hour\n\nLocation: Peterborough\n\nHours: Monday to Friday, 9am – 5pm\n\nContract Type: Temporary (agency)\n\nRole Overview:\n The successful candidate will work with mothers, their infants, and families who are at risk of, or are experiencing, severe and complex perinatal mental health conditions. You will work alongside a wider multidisciplinary team including nursery nurses, occupational therapists, and psychologists.\n\n Care is often delivered in the home environment, supporting mothers who may find it easier to engage while caring for small children.
The role will involve developing individual care plans, completing risk assessments, and liaising with family members, carers, and significant others to ensure comprehensive and effective care planning.\n\n Key Responsibilities:\n\nConduct mental health assessments for mothers in the perinatal period.\n\nDevelop, review, and implement individualised care plans and risk assessments.\n\nLiaise closely with family members, carers, and other significant figures to support patient recovery.\n\nProvide psychoeducation to help women understand their mental health conditions and develop effective coping strategies.\n\nSupport relapse prevention planning in collaboration with patients and the wider care team.\n\nWork closely with third sector organisations to ensure patients have access to a range of community support options.\n\nEngage in multidisciplinary team meetings to coordinate care and discuss treatment plans.\n\nRequirements:\n\nRegistered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) qualification.\n\nExperience working within perinatal mental health or with complex mental health conditions preferred.\n\nStrong assessment, care planning, and communication skills.\n\nEnhanced DBS check for adults and children (issued within the last 12 months or registered with the Update Service).\n\nA compassionate approach to supporting women and families during the perinatal period.\n\nApplication:\n If you are interested in this opportunity, please contact Andrew Wiles at (url removed) for more information or to apply
