We seek an experienced Maintenance Controller to join our Continuing Airworthiness Management Organisation (CAMO) in Doncaster. Role Overview: The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring the operational readiness of our aircraft, coordinating between aircrew, engineering teams, and other stakeholders to resolve aircraft defects efficiently. This role requires a strong knowledge of regulatory compliance and excellent communication skills to maintain smooth operations in a fast-paced environment. This is a permanent position and will require the post holder to work shifts (5 on, 5 off, 4 on, 5 off, 5 on, 4 off) and be available to work early and late shifts: Early shift 06:00-18:00 (12H), late shift 12:00 – 22:00 (10H) Key Responsibilities: The role’s key responsibilities will include but not be limited to: De-briefing crew in the event of aircraft defects, offering technical assistance as required and relaying information to engineers to enable systematic troubleshooting. Ensure all known defects are rectified or managed IAW the Minimum Equipment List (MEL) or other approved data and maintenance is performed by appropriately approved MROs. Regular and accurate communication of aircraft and mission system status to Operations and Business Units via applicable platforms. Maintain and update multiple information systems to ensure accurate and up-to-date aircraft status records. Arrange and co-ordinate defect investigation and AOG recovery in a cost-effective, efficient, and compliant manner. Co-ordinate effectively between aircrew, engineering teams, and other stakeholders to maximise aircraft availability and minimise disruption to tasks and contracts. Prioritise and manage the daily line maintenance workload to meet operational deadlines while maintaining compliance with aviation standards and regulations, including the provision of required spares/tooling/workforce via the appropriate Part 145s. Short-term maintenance planning - control and plan routine maintenance, ADD rectification and out-of-phase maintenance. Control of fleet ADDs including provision of spares and timely rectification. Key Skills and Experience The following skills, knowledge and experience are essential for this role: Proven experience of working in a similar role or setting. Strong knowledge of Part M and Part 145 regulations. Excellent IT skills with the ability to manage multiple systems. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective stakeholder management. Be proactive and comfortable working in a busy environment. Ability to work proactively and handle high-pressure situations in a fast-paced environment. Exceptional organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively. Must be eligible to obtain Security Clearance (SC) and/or Counter Terrorism Check (CTC). It is also desirable that candidates have knowledge of small piston/turbine aircraft.
