The Community Short Breaks Project provides support to children and young people with disabilities. This includes support to access community-based activities on a 1:1 basis, small groups, activities at the community and project base. We are ready to support and develop you to build on the experience you already have. You will make a difference by: Helping young people with disabilities have a presence in the community. Providing a safe environment where they can enjoy time, learn and have fun in a safe setting. Helping them in all aspects of their daily lives and supporting their health and happiness. Let's talk about you Our job description for the Community Short Breaks Worker outlines the requirements of the role but the 'must-haves' are: Experience of working with children/young people with disabilities is desirable but not essential. NVQ/QCF Level 2 in Health and Social Care/Playwork (or equivalent) is desirable but not essential. Flexibility to work a variation of session patterns.
