The Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) team is responsible for the delivery of financial reporting, insight and analysis, and helping to drive decision making by business owners and senior stakeholders across the Group. It is responsible for coordination of the budgeting and planning processes, and provision of support to the wider team.
Overview of the role:
As a Financial Planning Analyst, you will utilise the company’s systems to provide accurate, data-based information and KPIs on company’s sales and financial performance. You will analyse financial information across the group to assist in making well informed decisions. Building on foundations set by the team, you will help to develop and transform the financial planning and reporting environment. This central role forms an excellent vantage point across the whole business with stakeholders across the CFO team.We are seeking a Financial Planning Analyst who is eager to grow and develop within a high performing and dynamic environment. Reporting to an FP&A manager, you will utilise and develop existing reporting technology (Power BI) to analyse performance across the group’s operating segments. With the support of your manager and the wider team, you will have the opportunity to learn and apply your technical skills: maintaining, designing and delivering new reporting and analytics solutions.
To be successful in the role, you will assist the FP&A manager in developing accurate, timely and user-friendly reports, with a focus on Power BI, Databricks and Excel. You should have a basic understanding of data and reporting and exhibit a willingness to learn and champion the use of new reporting tools. As your gain experience in the role, you will contribute to maintaining and enhancing the reporting infrastructure, ensuring that it is robust, scalable, and secure. You will collaborate with IT teams to implement best practices for data management, security, and governance.
You should be comfortable working with large data sets, with a keen eye for detail. You will need to have a proficient understanding of finance and accounting principles and be eager to learn more.
As you gain experience in this role, you will have opportunities to work on projects to enhance reporting solutions and systems, contribute to training programs to upskill stakeholders, and drive process improvements to streamline reporting processes and improve data quality.
