A large public sector organisation, Planned Maintenance and Small Works project management, £38k - £45.5k Your new company Hays are representing a large public sector organisation who have four sites in Northern Ireland which comprises a number of buildings ranging in ages and design including administration buildings, lecture theatres, sports halls, laboratories and libraries, as well as an expansive outdoor landscape incorporating sports pitches and car parking. They have a requirement for a Maintenance Coordinator on a temporary contract based in Coleraine. Your new role This is a temporary contract based in Coleraine with an anticipated duration of 3 months.Reporting to the Estates Manager, you will work alongside a team of estates professionals who manage the on-going maintenance requirements of the site including management and supervision of on-site works by both their in-house trades team and external contractors.Some of the main duties include: Ensure that all planned maintenance is carried out according to appropriate schedules and to the correct specification. Ensure that prompt action is taken on all breakdowns and emergencies in accordance with the Maintenance Key Performance Indicators. Work alongside Project Managers for the Capital Works and site clearance projects offering assistance and providing coordination for all disconnections and shutdowns of redundant services. Ensure all works on site by In-House trades team, or External Contractors, comply with current Health and Safety regulations including the Estate Services’ Health and Safety Plans and Safe Working programmes. What you'll need to succeed To be eligible for this position you must meet the following criteria:Educated to degree level or equivalent in an architectural, building, mechanical or electrical engineering or estate management discipline.And have experience / knowledge of: Supervising a multi-disciplinary workforce including external contractors Managing minor maintenance works. Budget monitoring or management. Identification and remedying of faults and defects in building installations of large scale. Sound technical knowledge, including awareness of current Building, Electrical, Mechanical legislation, and Health & Safety Management.
