Job Overview: As an Art Teacher in one of our Alternative Provision schools, you will have a unique opportunity to inspire and engage students with diverse learning needs, including SEMH and ASC. You will create a safe and inclusive space where creativity is encouraged and celebrated. By utilising your expertise and passion for art, you will help students develop their artistic skills, self-expression, and confidence. Responsibilities: Develop and deliver engaging art lessons tailored to the unique needs of students with SEMH requirements. Foster a positive, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment. Encourage students to explore a range of techniques, materials, and mediums in their artistic process. Support students' creative growth and personal development through constructive feedback and encouragement Collaborate with other teachers, learning support staff, and therapists to provide a holistic approach to each student's education. Maintain accurate records of student progress and achievement. Requirements: Qualified Art Teacher or unqualified teacher with experience teaching in a SEMH or similar educational setting Experience working with people whop have SEN and preferably those with SEMH needs as well. Excellent classroom management and behaviour management skills Passion for working with students with SEN and SEMH needs and a commitment to their well-being and success.
