Group FP&A Manager - Heartwood Collection Group FP&A Manager: Overview of Role We are seeking an ambitious individual to join our team as a Group FP&A Manager. As a relatively small Finance team of 14 people, the cultural fit is extremely important. The role will report directly to the Head of Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) but will also have exposure to the senior management team across all functions.The role will be based at our Head Office in Teddington, Middlesex, conveniently located right next to the train station. This role will be critical in assisting the management of all financial reporting and analysis workstreams across the business and will be responsible for providing support in the strategic decision-making of the company. Group FP&A Manager: Key Areas of Responsibilities Responsible for weekly analysis and reporting: Assisting management of all weekly reporting processes, including reporting on sales, promotions and labour costs. Attend weekly trading meetings to report on key sales metrics and key factors impacting sales. Business partnering with other functions will be a critical part of the role. In particular the relationship with Marketing is key as we look to drive sales growth. Labour and margin analysis are also critical in the role. Menu development, labour analysis and analytics: Provide support on the menu modelling. Analysis and review of the impact of menu changes on Group margins and sales mix. Supporting commercial negotiations with suppliers across all cost areas to ensure we manage our cost base coming out of a highly inflationary environment. Work with the operational teams to ensure labour hours used in the sites are in line with the budget. We are currently working with external procurement specialists and this role will play an important role in ensuring we deliver the forecast savings. Budgets: Work closely with the Head of FP&A to manage the budget process. Preparation of budget packs for all stakeholders both internally and externally. Assisting with the re-budgeting of sites throughout the year as appropriate. In particular there will be a strong focus on new site openings. Board Reporting: To provide assistance with production of the monthly board pack. Provide analytical support to members of the senior management team to drive commercial decisions and board strategy. Other: Other ad hoc analysis with senior management across the business. For example, modelling a new sales promotion and its effectiveness, or forecasting the annual cost impact of National Minimum Wage across the business. Work closely with our Tableau Developer. If required, we can provide training to get exposure to developing reports in our BI tool Tableau. Group FP&A Manager: The Ideal Candidate Qualified accountant with 2-3 years PQE. Previous experience in financial analysis is essential. Excellent communications and presentation skills. Experience of managing multiple projects and delivering to a deadline. Excellent Excel skills. Excellent academic record. Previous experience with Tableau or a similar data visualisation tool would be preferred. Previous multi-site business experience is not essential, but would be a benefit. Personable and friendly character who will be a team player. Highly motivated with ability to work both independently and in a team to achieve results. Commercially minded with an ability to look at the bigger picture. Detail oriented with excellent analytical, quantitative and investigative skills. Ability to work accurately is essential in the role. Ability to work with changing priorities and time pressures. A self-starter who takes a proactive approach. Ability to present complex data in a simplified and meaningful way.
