Camp Program Director - Child Evangelism Fellowship at BucksMont
Position Purpose:
To further the mission of Child Evangelism Fellowship of PA, and specifically Camp Good News, through the coordination and management of program operations and human resources.
Requirements:
Must be able to sign the CEF Statement of Faith without reservation.
Must demonstrate a daily walk with God and be Spirit-led in all aspects of living.
Must demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Must have a minimum of 2 years experience working with children.
Must have experience in planning and implementation of programs or events.
Must demonstrate proficiency in office software including MS Word, Google Docs, Canva, and Powerpoint.
General Responsibilities:
The Camp Director is responsible for overseeing the safety, care, and supervision of all camp environments, staff, volunteers, and participants, as well as overseeing the implementation of planned programming and activities, while working closely with their direct supervisor.
Essential Job Functions:
Assist with and support all fundraising efforts for the overall ministry.
Attend meetings and trainings as required by the local director.
Become familiar with camp safety and first aid best practices.
Assist with hiring and training camp counselors and any other needed staff or volunteers.
Purchase all necessary equipment and supplies.
Oversee camp opening, clean-up, and closing.
Plan, prepare, and implement programming for 6 weeks of camp.
Assign and oversee weekly counselor schedules.
Coordinate maintenance needs with the camp caretaker.
Create and manage communications with parents, campers, staff, and volunteers.
Maintain accurate records and documentation.
