About the Role:
The Energy Division at ARM is currently seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer (Low Voltage) to join a Leading Nuclear Defence Client. Key responsibilities include:
1. Assist the Design Manager in project delivery.
2. Support Electrical Services Engineering Lead.
3. Manage technical deliverables for engineering packages.
4. Participate in problem-solving and development of technical solutions.
5. Supervise and guide junior staff.
6. Use Learn from Experience information to develop theoretical knowledge.
7. Support development, construction, installation, commissioning, and maintenance of Facilities.
8. Support on-site inspection of DRDL assets.
9. Maintain familiarity with DRDL procedures in Facilities Engineering.
What you need to succeed:
1. Design electrical building services, low voltage distribution systems, control & instrumentation systems, and communications/data systems.
2. Experience with substantiation of SIL and high-integrity systems for Nuclear Safety functions.
3. Demonstrate knowledge and skills for complex design development throughout lifecycle.
4. Provide expert advice to design houses and manage design activities.
5. Understanding of engineering design, safety practice, project management, and budgeting.
6. Knowledge of Company procedures for Design, Health & Safety, and Quality requirements.
7. Working knowledge of engineering computer applications.
8. Experience with design support for construction, operation, and maintenance of regulated facilities.
