Labels & Labeling is a global, industry-leading publication backed by more than 40 years in the label and packaging space. Labels & Labeling magazine has a global network of editors and contributors and reaches 10,000 readers through its print edition and more than 100,000 readers online, spread across 130 countries worldwide.
Labels & Labeling is seeking an editor and writer to join its global team, covering the European market.
The role will involve writing and proofreading copy, generating compelling story ideas, and building relationships with industry sources. You will have the opportunity to be involved in video recording and editing, and utilising social media to promote the Labels & Labeling brand.
While the role involves sourcing and covering news independently, you will be supported by a focused international team.
Your responsibilities will include:
1. Reporting on the European label and package printing market
2. Writing exclusive news and feature articles for both print and online
3. Regular travel in Europe, and occasional long-haul travel to Labelexpo global events
4. Attending and reporting from industry events
5. Accompanying sales colleagues to meetings with industry suppliers
6. Daily editing and publishing of news stories on
7. Scheduling, recording and editing video interviews and social media posts
8. Regular promotion of our content and interaction with the industry through social media
Qualifications
To succeed in this role you will most likely be an editor, reporter or writer looking to grow your editorial skills and subject matter expertise. A natural curiosity for how things work, and a willingness to travel are essential.

9. Proven journalism experience
10. Strong writing and editing skills, especially technology-based B2B writing
11. Social media savviness
12. Presenting / public speaking ability
13. Excellent attention to detail
14. Ability to work to strict deadlines
15. Excellent communication skills
16. Good time management and organizational skills
17. An entrepreneurial spirit with the ability to work on own initiative
18. Proficiency in conducting interviews with industry experts.
19. Familiarity with digital tools and platforms (HootSuite, social media, CMS).
20. Ability to cultivate and maintain relationships with industry sources, include executives and other key stakeholders
21. Willingness to travel on up to two (2) multi-day business trips per month, including some international travel
