The Role: The Wealth Consulting Practice Director takes responsibility for the development and delivery of client engagements within the retail wealth sector; broadly this covers portfolio & investment management, financial planning and advice, including associated technology and outsource suppliers. The practice is part of a broader Investments domain which also covers Retail Platforms and Life & Pensions.
Responsibilities:
* Develop client relationships at CxO/senior level
* Identify and drive business development opportunities
* Be highly visible talking about the Wealth sector, publish thought leadership and build relationships with journalists and industry
* Help to shape the practice/domain strategy, and propositions
* Define and manage the development of practice specific collateral, intelligence and artefacts
* Shape, estimate, propose and win consulting engagements
* Oversee/lead the delivery of client consultancy engagements using our proven methodologies where relevant
* Manage client stakeholders, resolve issues and ensure the reputation of Altus is maintained and enhanced
* Lead and grow a team of Wealth focused business consultants
Requirements:
* Extensive knowledge and experience of the Wealth sector, and a genuine passion for the subject area
* Industry recognised thought leader and commentator
* A proven track record in defining and delivering strategic, propositional or operational solutions for senior stakeholders.
* Solid understanding of business and IT change
* Significant network and a successful track record in business development
* Demonstrable experience of building and leading teams
* Good commercial acumen and ability to shape, review and negotiate contracts
* Genuine drive and enthusiasm to make a difference on the client’s behalf
* Typically, 15 years+ experience, predominantly in FS
* A willingness to travel to Client / Altus offices and undertake varying roles
* A background in Consulting is advantageous, but not mandated
