Main duties of the job We have a fantastic opportunity to recruit a band 7 Trainee Advanced Clinical Practitioner (ACP) to join our Vascular Surgery specialty within the Cardiovascular and Thoracic Care Group at UHS. We are looking for a dynamic and highly motivated individual with sound clinical knowledge, proven leadership skills and an interest in Vascular Surgery to join our existing team of ACP's. The Vascular ACP team provide high quality, safe and effective ward-based clinical care for patients pre and post vascular surgery. The ACP's play a pivotal role in patient assessment, ordering and interpretation of appropriate investigations, and development of treatment plans, including non medical prescribing. The ACP service not only benefits our patients in terms of continuity and quality of care, but provides our patients with prompt admissions, seamless inpatient care and improved discharges, thus improving the patient experience and reducing length of hospital stay. The Vascular ACP service covers up until 8:30pm seven days a week.Trainee ACP's will be expected to complete a Masters degree in advanced clinical practice either via a University apprenticeship or University modular route over 3-5 years.
