Job Title: Part-Time Management Accountant Location: Lowestoft/WFH Hours: Part-Time (20-24 hours per week) Salary: Competitive and dependent on experience About the Role: We are looking for a skilled and detail-focused Part-Time Management Accountant to join our client’s team in Lowestoft. This role offers the chance to contribute to the success of the organisation through effective financial management, reporting, and collaboration with various stakeholders. Key Responsibilities: Management Accounts: Prepare timely and accurate monthly financial statements and reports, ensuring alignment with agreed deadlines. Analyse variances against budgets, working closely with budget holders to address discrepancies and implement necessary adjustments. Maintain accurate balance sheet reconciliations to support financial integrity. Finance Partnering: Build and maintain strong relationships across teams, acting as a trusted financial advisor to the business unit. Deliver financial insights and guidance to support decision-making and enhance performance. Provide training and advice to budget holders to ensure financial transactions are recorded correctly. Support stakeholders with interpreting and analysing data from dashboards. Budgets: Partner with the Finance Reporting Manager and wider finance team to enhance the budget-setting process. Collaborate with Executive Directors, Deputies, and Budget Holders to produce accurate budget statements for individual cost centres. Forecasting: Work alongside the Finance Reporting Manager to produce accurate reforecasts on a bi-monthly basis. Engage with stakeholders to ensure accurate forecast monitoring and reporting, identifying risks or opportunities early. Collaborate with the team to address and resolve variances effectively. About You: To excel in this role, you should bring: Experience in management accounting or financial reporting, with a proactive and detail-oriented mindset. Strong analytical skills and the ability to communicate complex financial information clearly. Proven experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial performance analysis. Confidence in working with senior stakeholders and challenging performance where necessary. Professional accounting qualifications such as ACCA, CIMA, or similar (or currently working towards them) would be advantageous. What’s in it for You?
