We are looking for a Trade Marketing Manager to join the team to be the interface between Highland Spring Marketing department and its third-party distribution partner for the convenience, wholesale and out of home (HORECA) channels.
The key to success in this role is building strong relationships within external distribution partners and with key internal stakeholders. The core objective of the role is to deliver Highland Spring's trade marketing and category management plans through the distributor and into the end customers.
The role will play a significant role in channel planning and strategy across Impulse & OOH, inputting into key retailer range reviews, brand activation opportunities, and providing regular category insight for the 3rd-party distribution partner.
What can you expect to be doing?
* Trade Marketing and Activation
o Translate brand and NPD selling stories into strong selling tools
o Collaborate with the brand team to provide trade marketing guidance and branded materials
o Act as “Brand Guardian” for HSG brands
* Category Insight
o Proactively share actionable insight to HSG
o Increase HSG internal understanding of Impulse, wholesale and out of home channels
o Support and drive the delivery of impulse channel plans
* Building and Development Relationships
o As the main marketing contract for 3rd party distribution partner for category, brand, and trade marketing support, ensure seamless flow of information between parties
o Proactively build a relationship with the Category & Insight Manager at 3rd-party distribution partner to create strong knowledge transfer between companies
Requirements
* Preferably Educated to Degree level in a relevant area
* Experienced in FMCG, preferably Impulse & HORECA channels in Sales, Category Management, or Channel/Customer Marketing. Food or drink preferred.
* Minimum of 3 years’ experience within commercial and/or category-led marketing teams with good knowledge and understanding of what is required to deliver through the impulse and wholesale channels.
* Experience of undertaking customer range reviews, from identifying the key insights right through to developing merchandising recommendations.
* Knowledge, understanding and experience of using the required data sources e.g., Nielsen or IRI, Kantar.
* Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to manipulate data into compelling category advice, which makes commercial sense for both HSG and 3rd-party distribution partner.
* Experience developing trade marketing and POS solutions for impulse / wholesale channel.
* Strong influencing skills with evidence of managing key stakeholders and senior management effectively – internally and externally with customers.
* Self-assured presentation and communications skills (written and verbal), able to deliver key messages in a clear, concise, and creative way.
* Highly enthusiastic and resilient individual able to work a diverse set-of stakeholders, both internally and through the 3rd-party distribution partners.
* A self-starting, strong team player, able to work collaboratively with Brand Marketing Team and Sales to ensure that HSG brands are always represented in market in line with brand strategy.
