Position: Teaching Assistant

Hours: 8:15 AM - 3:45 PM, Monday to Friday (30-minute lunch break)
Salary: £12.83 - £14.54 per hour
Reeson Education is recruiting a Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming two-form entry primary school in Irlam (M41). This full-time, long-term Teaching Assistant role involves supporting pupils across EYFS and KS1, including those who are behind academically and those with special educational needs such as non-verbal communication, sensory needs, ASD, social and emotional challenges, suspected ADHD, and mild learning difficulties .

Key Responsibilities for the Teaching Assistant:
1. Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils in EYFS and KS1 who require additional help with learning, communication, and emotional development.
2. Assist children with SEN needs, including non-verbal pupils, sensory difficulties, ASD, social and emotional needs, and suspected ADHD .
3. Adapt learning activities to suit individual needs and help pupils stay engaged in lessons.
4. Work closely with teachers and SENCOs to implement tailored support plans.
5. Encourage positive social interactions and help pupils develop confidence and independence.
6. Provide a calm, structured, and nurturing presence in the classroom.
Requirements for the Teaching Assistant:
7. Previous UK experience working as a Teaching Assistant or supporting children with additional needs.
8. A passion for helping children with SEN and early learning development .
9. Ability to build strong relationships with pupils who require extra encouragement.
10. A patient, compassionate, and adaptable approach to supporting young learners.
11. Commitment to a full-time, long-term role.
