Technical Manager – About you?
* Strong Technical knowledge base from a Technical Design background of either architectural or civil engineering
* Educated to HNC / HND in a construction related qualification
* Experience working in the housebuilding industry preferably gained with a high-volume house builder
* Experience working as a Technical Coordinator looking to step up or an existing Technical Manager
* Experience working for a regional or national house builder
Technical Manager – About the role:
As Technical Manager, you will work as part of the Technical team to support delivery across our Bristol and South West housing developments. Your focus will be on the larger, house-building schemes. As part of your responsibility will be to make a profit by acquiring land and planning, designing, constructing and selling dwellings thereon, all in accordance with the operating policies and controls of the Company plc.
Technical Manager – Key Responsibilities:
* To assist and co-operate with the Land Department in the investigation and acquisition of development sites
* Be responsible that detailed technical investigation, design, optimisation is secured and that proper liaison is maintained with statutory authorities, and that all necessary documentation and drawings are produced to enable contracts to be let and a site to be developed by the Building Department
* To be responsible for the preparation of detailed constructional drawings, the negotiation and securing of technical and statutory approvals to achieve the optimum timing programmes
* To be responsible for identifying and resolving technical design and constructional problems
* To assist in the supervision and administration of the Company Technical function
