We currently have an opportunity for a Senior Electrical Engineer to join our growing engineering design team in Birmingham. Delivering on predominantly lineside electrical power supply and design for our rail infrastructure projects, this opportunity presents the chance to play a leading part in the success of key transport infrastructure projects in the UK and globally. The Senior Electrical Engineer position within our M&E engineering team will suit a committed and ambitious engineer who can demonstrate good communication and interpersonal skills combined with the ability to play their part in a dynamic high-performance team and will work with a team of engineers producing the design delivery of allocated M&E Projects as instructed by the projects Lead M&E Engineer. The Electrical Engineer’s main duties will be the production of electrical designs as instructed by the projects Contractors Responsible Engineer (CRE) and/or Lead Engineer and to be responsible for: Ensuring designs are completed to meet CRE/Lead Engineers requirements. Ensuring designs are completed to the timescales agreed with the CRE/Lead Engineer. Planning the allocated design works to meet the agreed timescales. Identify changes to the projects client requirements and raise the changes with the CRE/Lead Engineer. SYSTRA Ltd and its employees subscribe to the six key Industry Safety Rules. Knowledge of multi-disciplinary issues associated with M&E and/or building services Experience in working with offshore Production Centres Ideally an Incorporated or Chartered Engineer Qualified to HNC or equivalent Experience of working in Network Rail IP ProjectWise and/or BIM Standards. Knowledge of construction principles and standards Good communication and presentation skills. A self-motivated team player able to work with minimal supervision. Able to build and maintain good relationships with engineers from other internal discipline teams to promote good inter-discipline working relationships and a “One Team” ethos. Why SYSTRA?
