Senior Commercial Manager
Location: Bristol (Hybrid - 2 days per week in office)
Salary: Up to £90,000 + Bonus + Additional Benefits
The Opportunity
We are partnering with a leading global defence organisation to recruit a Senior Commercial Manager for an exciting and high-profile role. This is a unique opportunity to work on a brand-new contract with a prestigious Middle Eastern customer.
You will take the lead in commercial activities, supporting the delivery of cutting-edge defence solutions while ensuring compliance with export regulations and contractual excellence.
Key Responsibilities
* Contract Management: Lead the negotiation, drafting, and management of complex defence contracts.
* Export Expertise: Ensure adherence to export control regulations and policies for international defence transactions.
* Stakeholder Engagement: Build strong relationships with both internal teams and external customers, acting as a trusted advisor for commercial matters.
* Customer Focus: Provide strategic commercial leadership in managing relationships with the Middle Eastern customer.
* Risk Management: Identify and mitigate commercial risks throughout the contract lifecycle.
* Team Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including legal, finance, and project management, to deliver successful outcomes.
Your Profile
We are seeking a driven and experienced commercial professional with:
* A proven track record in commercial management within the defence or aerospace sectors.
* Export experience, with a strong understanding of international trade and export compliance.
* Exceptional negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
* Experience working on high-value, complex contracts, ideally with Middle Eastern or export customers.
* Strong business acumen and the ability to influence at a senior level.
You will need to showcase strong customer facing commercial contracts experience throughout the process, this is not a sales or procurement role.
