This is an exciting job opportunity for you to light the way as an Engineering Apprentice in Guildford with Signify.
This Apprenticeship will give you the opportunity to experience from day one what it is like to be an integral part of our team in a fast-paced working environment. Don’t worry about your technical capabilities; you will learn about all technical aspects of lighting and their controls, including fault finding, commissioning, installation, quality investigations, surveys, and much more on the job and from attending college/university.

You will have the opportunity of gaining an apprenticeship qualification up to degree level with this role if you choose so.
During your 3 year apprenticeship, you will have the opportunity to:
1. Work closely with a number of internal departments including Customer Satisfaction, Sales, Lighting Design, etc.
2. Learn about the latest lighting technology and their application.
3. Gain full knowledge of the application, programming and commissioning of lighting control systems.
4. Register and manage complaints/issues within the Service Management System.
5. Develop the ability to fault find both within a workshop environment and in the field, and provide resolution.
6. Learn how to complete electrical tests to complete root cause analysis.
7. Gain full understanding of the different industry accreditation systems.
8. To gain externally recognized qualifications with no university fees!

1. Understanding of Microsoft Office programs (particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint), but we appreciate you may not be an experienced user. You will have an opportunity to learn these skills on the job.
2. Full driving license.
3. GCSE/BTEC attainment.
4. Eager to learn and reliable.
5. Good communicator, team player, and dedicated.
6. Passionate, energized, and motivated.
7. Proactive with your approach.
8. Aged 16 plus.
9. Resident in England. Position is office-based in Guildford, Surrey.

What happens once you complete your apprenticeship?
Most of our Apprentices are offered a role at Signify having successfully demonstrated the appropriate skills and behavior for effective performance. Alternatively, there are opportunities for Higher-Level Apprenticeships which can be topped up further to full degree level.
