We’re seeking a passionate and strategic Global Business Development Director to lead and expand their international presence. This role is based in London and Brighton, with regular international travel.

The Business Development Director you will be responsible for ensuring the brand remains at the forefront of luxury fragrance across global markets, including the UK, Europe, Americas, Middle East, and China. This pivotal leadership role involves managing and developing existing retail partnerships, identifying new growth opportunities, and driving strategic global sales initiatives.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Global Sales Strategy Development and Execution:
Develop and implement the annual global sales strategy.
Align the sales strategy with the brand’s vision and long-term objectives.
Monitor global market trends, competitor activity, and customer preferences.
Lead the global sales conference bi-annually.
Manage direct-to-market retail P&L and ensure wholesale account profitability.
Distributor & Retail Partnerships:
Identify, negotiate, and maintain close relationships with distributors and retail partners in key global markets.
Define and deliver the commercial vision and sales strategy for each partner.
Conduct regular performance reviews to ensure brand standards and profitability.
Provide training, support, and guidance to enhance brand knowledge and sales performance.
Team Leadership & Collaboration:
Manage and mentor a global sales team.
Collaborate with Marketing to ensure seamless implementation of brand guidelines and new launches.
Work with operational teams (finance, supply chain) to ensure operational efficiency.
Foster a culture of excellence, innovation, and customer focus.
Sales Reporting & Performance Management:
Establish and track KPIs, sales forecasts, and budgets.
Regularly assess sales performance and identify growth opportunities.
Provide strategic recommendations to senior management.
Brand Positioning & Market Expansion:
Ensure consistent brand messaging and luxury appeal across global markets.
Identify and evaluate new market opportunities.
Oversee the launch of new products and collections.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Proven experience in senior sales roles within the luxury fragrance, beauty or similar prestigious product industry such as watches or jewellery.
Strong knowledge of global luxury markets and cultural nuances.
Analytical mindset with strong planning and execution skills.
Track record of building profitable relationships and acquiring new accounts.
Effective communication and negotiation skills.
Inspiring leadership with the ability to foster high-performance teams.
