Salary Point 9-12 - £26,409 - £27,711 (All Year Round) Pattern of Hours will be Monday – Friday 8.00am – 4.00pm (can be flexible) with half an hour unpaid lunch breaks each day. and an early finish of 3.30pm one day each week. Flexibility and a willingness to work occasional evenings to support school events is required. PRIME OBJECTIVES OF THE POST: To support the Trust Director of IT and IT Managers across multiple school sites in leading, managing and supporting all technical aspects of IT, ensuring an efficient, effective and proactive service to all schools, supporting the overarching aim of continuous school improvement whilst keeping the school at the forefront of IT. RESPONSIBLE TO THE TRUST DIRECTOR OF IT: Key Accountabilities Technical responsibilities: Providing support for the operational running of the IT network infrastructure and IT resources across multiple school sites. To assist staff and students in the use of IT, dealing with technical queries efficiently and accurately To provide First Line support with both hardware and software issues. This will include visiting both classrooms and offices. This will require you to be approachable and friendly and be a good listener Supporting the Trust Director of IT and IT Managers in achieving best value for the IT expenditure at schools To undertake set-up, cleaning and repairs of equipment, assisting with configuration of equipment, this includes laptops, desktops and iPads To support with the development of IT within school by assessing developments in software and hardware and by providing advice on their effective use in the school environment To support intranet and management of file storage systems To help with data entry when required To undertake any other duties commensurate with the role General responsibilities Be aware of and comply with policies and procedures relating to safeguarding and child protection, health, safety and security, confidentiality and data protection, reporting all concerns to an appropriate person Be aware of and support difference and ensure equal opportunities for all Contribute to the overall ethos/work/aims of the school / Trust Appreciate and support the role of other professionals Attend and participate in relevant meetings as required Participate in training and other learning activities and performance development as required To support, uphold and contribute to the development of the Trust’s Equality policies and practices in respect of both employment issues and the delivery of services to the community General accountabilities Be aware of the school’s duty of care in relation to staff, students and visitors and to always comply with the health and safety policy. Establish and maintain positive, constructive and professional working relationships with staff, visitors, students, parents and other professionals of the school Be aware of and comply with the code of conduct, regulations and policies of the school Develop self within the post, undertaking training/appraisal as appropriate to ensure that relevant knowledge and skills are updated in order to support school development Variation in Role Given the dynamic nature of the role and structure of Moorlands Learning Trust, it must be accepted that, as the Trust’s work develops and changes, there will be a need for adjustments to the role and responsibilities of the post. Probationary Period The successful candidate will undertake a six-month probationary programme on commencement of the role.
