An established engieering Company wish to recruit an Engineering Production Manager to join their team. Job purpose: You will oversee the day- to- day management of all operational activities. The role is pivotal in ensuring operational efficiency, meeting project deadlines, maintaining health & safety standards and achieving financial targets. The successful candidate will lead a team of approx. 15-20 employees driving improvements and maintaining high standards at all times. Duties & Responsibilities: Manage and coordinate production schedules to ensure timely delivery and effective operations. Supervise and oversee personnel across various departments within the company. Organise and prioritise workflows to ensure machine completion on time for customer. Conduct performance reviews, provide coaching, and encourage ongoing professional development. Act as the main point of contact, facilitating communication and co ordination between all departments within the company. Ensure strict adherence to health and safety guidelines, industry standards, and company policies. Monitor day-to-day operations to improve performance, reduce downtime, and enhance productivity. Implement opportunities for greater operational efficiency. Oversee and manage relationships with subcontractors to ensure smooth operation and project completion. Manage the logistics and shipping of machines, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries. Oversee and manage maintenance schedules and activities to ensure all machinery are in optimal working condition for production. Address and resolve any operational challenges that might affect project timelines or quality. Ensure compliance with all standards and internal quality control procedures. Manage and co-ordinate the yearly servicing of equipment, ensuring all necessary certifications are up to date and compliance standards are met. Person Specification: At least 3 years of experience in operations management, particularly in an engineering industry Proven experience in leading and managing teams Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills. Deep understanding of health & safety regulations. Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities under tight deadlines. High attention to detail with a focus on operational excellence.
