Teaching Personnel is currently seeking a dedicated and motivated Teaching Assistant to work in secondary schools across Sheffield. This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about education and looking to support students in a variety of classroom settings.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide support to teachers in delivering engaging lessons and ensuring the effective learning of students.
Assist with the preparation of classroom resources and materials.
Support individual students or small groups with their learning needs, ensuring they receive the appropriate level of support.
Help with the management of classroom behavior and maintaining a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Assist with the assessment and monitoring of student progress.
Work closely with other staff to ensure the welfare and academic development of students.
Requirements:
A passion for working with young people and a genuine interest in supporting their educational journey.
Experience working with young people (preferably in a secondary school setting) is desirable but not essential.
A flexible, proactive approach and the ability to work well as part of a team.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
A minimum of GCSE grade C or equivalent in English and Maths (or willingness to work towards this).
