Teaching Personnel Partner School
Location: Barnstaple, Devon
Salary: £24,420 per annum
Contract: Full-time, permanent
Job Purpose:
Support and mentor pupils aged 7-18, encouraging engagement in learning and personal development. Provide 1:1 and small-group support, fostering emotional well-being, aspirations, and behaviour management.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver and document individual learning programs.
* Support students with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
* Ensure safeguarding and well-being, reporting concerns promptly.
* Build positive relationships and act as a keyworker for students.
* Assist in behavior management and emotional regulation.
* Maintain accurate records and contribute to student plans.
* Prepare learning materials and resources.
* Work collaboratively with staff and attend meetings as required.
* Follow safeguarding, risk assessment, and health & safety policies.
* Transport students as needed (business insurance required).
Essential:
* GCSE Grade 4 (C) in English & Maths (or equivalent).
* Experience working with children, particularly those with diverse needs and challenging behavior.
* Understanding of safeguarding, health & safety, and risk assessments.
* Strong communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills.
* Full driving license and access to an insured vehicle for work.
Desirable:
* Formal qualification in youth work, social care, or education.
* Knowledge of target setting and work plans.
