As an Assistant Shift Production Controller, you will maximise the output of the Queensferry ADA plant adhering to all safety, environmental and quality standards and assist with the control of a shift team ensuring plant is fully optimised.
What you’ll be doing…
* Assist the Shift Production Controller with their responsibilities and be able to stand in for them in the event that they are unavailable.
* Ensure that all personnel are aware of and operating in compliance at all times with the relevant health, safety and environmental legislation.
* Assist with the development of a multi-functional team that encompasses change, flexibility, and best practices.
* Optimise plant output whilst maintaining requisite quality standards.
* Assist with the Co-ordination of resources and actions with maintenance department to enable plant operation to be optimised.
* Ensure all documentation is accurately completed and detailed shift reports left.
* Ensuring break cover is provided without affecting shift operation.
* Responsible for ensuring that all personnel abide by company rules and standards.
* Ensures all team members are effectively utilised during all production interruptions whether planned or unplanned.
* Is prepared and will provide cover whenever the need arises within the shift.
* Controls the process from oven in-feed through to end of line, ensuring that product changes are optimised and scrap minimised.
* Responsible for ensuring product specifications are met on product changes and throughout production run.
* Communicates and co-ordinates with all team members to ensure continuity of operation particularly as a result of program changes, shutdowns and planned maintenance.
