We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic Electronics graduate to join our team in one of our Nottingham, York, Edinburgh or Dublin offices. The team operates a diverse range of technologies, however we’re particularly interested in candidates with an understanding of semiconductor and computing technologies.
The role of a Patent Attorney encompasses a diverse range of responsibilities and requires a high level of attention to detail and accuracy, the ability to work to deadlines, having a client-centric mentality along with being able to receive and act upon feedback on your work.
With more than 40 attorneys, the HGF Electronics Team understands the market trends and competitive landscape of the global electronics industry, given our expertise across telecommunications, AI, computing, electronic engineering and physics, and our wide-ranging experience in industry and academic research. This, combined with our diverse client base across the sector, ensures we’re at the forefront of new technology and its interface with IP throughout the world, maximising commercial impact and pushing the limits of patent protection. As such, the strength of our electronics attorneys enables us to field experts across the full spectrum of advanced technologies to deliver excellence with a high commercial impact.
About You
* A passion for a career in intellectual property!
* A minimum 2:1 degree in Electronic Engineering or a related subject where you can demonstrate your knowledge in areas including semiconductors and computing;
* A PhD in an Electronic Engineering or related subject would be a bonus but not essential;
* Experience in a professional working environment would be beneficial;
* High level of attention to detail;
* A team player who is comfortable working on independent tasks;
* Ability to digest and act upon constructive feedback;
* Attitude and aptitude to want to develop your skill set;
* Personable individual with a client-focused mentality.
