HVAC BDM – Hertfordshire.
My client was established in 1999, priding themselves on delivering the following services to their prestigious blue chip client base:
1. Chillers
2. Air Conditioning
3. AHU’s / Ventilation
4. Boilers & Heating Plant
5. Controls
The role will be predominantly based within the service/PPM business, targeting new long-term service contracts.
Scope and Responsibilities:
1. Harvest and establish new relationships with FM’s and end user clients
2. Maintain existing relationships and look for growth opportunities
3. Research and identify potential markets and customers
4. Prepare a sales strategy and approach for your customer base
5. Respond to and follow up sales enquiries/potential leads within a timely manner
6. Undertake site surveys
7. Give client presentations
8. Pro-actively target, identify and make appointments with decision makers
9. Manage, understand and interpret customer requirements
10. Confidently communicate that a product or service project will best satisfy customer needs
11. Calculate, prepare and present an accurate, professional quotation for the works
12. Understand and communicate the benefits of energy efficiency and how existing plant or equipment can be upgraded to maximise efficiency over its working life
13. Negotiate and close sales
14. Administer customer accounts and maintain a CRM database
15. Prepare reports for the management team as and when required
16. Monitor and report on sales activities to meet agreed targets
17. Support marketing activity by attending trade shows, conferences and other events
Experience / Skills Required:
1. The candidate will either have a successful track record of achieving business growth and customer satisfaction. Experience in building services or HVAC business would be helpful but not essential if they can demonstrate the correct attributes and abilities.
2. Experience selling into the end users, contractors and FM companies would be advantageous.
3. A demonstrated ability to identify and develop business opportunities within London and the Home Counties is desirable.
4. The individual selected should possess excellent overall business skills, including excellent written and verbal communication, planning, presentation and organisational abilities.
5. Financial and mathematical acumen is required.
6. The ability to foster an environment that encourages initiative, creativity and teamwork. We don’t compete against each other we work as a team.
7. The candidate must be a problem solver.
8. The individual will have personal qualities of honesty and integrity and be able to think outside the box.
9. A willingness to travel within our areas of coverage. A current UK driving license is mandatory.
Package:
1. Salary £30k - £55k dependant on experience
2. Uncapped OTE in commission
3. £4,800 car allowance
4. Starting on 23 days holiday, increasing to 27 after 10 years service (plus bank holidays)
5. Hertfordshire office 1-2 days a week depending on how many days they’re out seeing clients
6. Hybrid/WFH available
